Plymouth University's iconic marquee building, Roland Levinsky, contains a number of key facilities for students including two large lecture theatres, the Jill Craigie Cinema, three performance rehearsal studios, the Peninsula art gallery, digital media suites and studio spaces for various courses. The University wanted a way of showcasing these spaces to prospective students who aren't able to attend an open day.
We created a virtual reality rendition of both the building and some of the major spaces within, which could be freely navigated using the Oculus Rift headset. This allows users to take in the sheer scale of the building and the quality of the available facilities.
Plymouth University were delighted with the quality of the project and plan to demonstrate it to prospective students at UCAS fairs and other educational events.
